Alicia’s 17 chapter book (Alicia’s Story: Cancer. Despair. Hope. Faith.) was originally serialized in seven parts in the San Francisco Chronicle in 2005. She also shared occasional updates with readers after the book’s publication. All of her work for the paper can be read here: http://www.sfgate.com/alicia/

*Prior to her passing, Alicia had been taking notes via a dictation machine when she was in hospice care in UCSF in April 2010. We are working on transcribing these notes as well as looking for other writings to see if they are appropriate for publication.
