This page was used to gather donations to help cover Alicia’s medical costs. While she received disability payments from the government and was on Medicare, her treatments and hospitalizations were quite expensive. As of May 2010 we’re not actively soliciting donations to her medical fund as it appears that we have raised enough to cover costs. A huge THANK YOU to anyone who was able to contribute to help cover her care.
We’re now encouraging people who wish to make a donation in Alicia’s memory to her alma matter, the Reynolds School of Journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno. UNR has established a scholarship fund to support journalism students during unpaid internships.
