A Beautiful Tribute to Alicia April 18, 2010

Bonnie Russell wrote this touching piece about Alicia yesterday entitled “Courage is a choice. A Courageous Woman of 28 is Dying.”

As far as I know, Bonnie doesn’t personally know Alicia, but her brief tribute to Alicia is fantastic. Thank you, Bonnie, for your thoughts about Ms. Parlette.

I have thought a lot about Alicia during the past months, not knowing how she was doing. I was gone last week and didn’t see the update about her latest stage with her illness, so was glad to notice the letter in today’s Chronicle. I have a daughter who is Alicia’s age. This teaches me not to sweat the small stuff…to appreciate her life and all life while we have it. May the zest for living Alicia still has be stronger than her suffering. Peace for her and her loved ones.

    Just sending lots of love.

  6. Thank you all for this site. I wanted to introduce Open Salon readers to Alicia and her wonderful friends while there was still time.

And as you can see, everyone promptly fell in love. 🙂

Thank you again for this site. Best to all, and

    Kindest of regards,

    Bonnie Russell

Alicia, gentle words are soothing you.
Please know that this is not “all there is”. At Revelation 21:4 God promises to “wipe our every tear from their eyes and death will be no more neither will mourning or outcry nor pain be anymore, of the former things have passed away”, he promises. And His promises come true.

When we pray as Jesus taught us at Matthew 24, “let your Kingdom come, your will take place on earth, as in heaven”
we know the earth will be returned to the paradise ‘lost’ by Adam, right here on earth.

May Jehoval comfort you and his Kingdom offer soothing thoughts and promises.
