I just came across this coverage of Alicia’s participation in the 2005 Robert Laxalt Distinguished Writer Program at the University of Nevada, Reno: http://www.unr.edu/journalism/content/051001/051024page2.htm. Alicia graduated from the UNR’s Donald W. Reynolds School of Journalism in 2004.
There is a nice overview of Alicia’s presentation, in which she spoke about the team that put together Alicia’s Story. Her editor at the Chronicle, Robert Rosenthal, attended, as did the photographer who shot for the series, Penni Gladstone. Additionally, there is a section called “View multimedia of Partlette’s speech” and a slideshow of pictures from the Chronicle plays as we hear part of Alicia’s speech.
